Ingredients
2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries 2 pears, cored and diced (peel on) 1/4 cup granulated sugar Juice & zest of 1/2 orange 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. flour 1/4 cup brown sugar
Chinese Five Spice
1 tsp. Chinese Five Spice
Mayan Sea Salt
1/4 tsp. Mayan Sea Salt
1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Directions
Combine fruit, granulated sugar, and orange juice & zest. Let sit while preparing topping. Mix 1/2 cup flour with brown sugar, Chinese Five Spice, and salt. Use fingers or a fork to incorporate butter until mixture resembles a coarse meal. Stir in almonds and refrigerate while oven preheats to 350 degrees. Grease 4 large or 6 small ramekins lightly with cooking spray. (Alternatively, use a small baking dish for one larger crumble instead of individual ones.) Stir remaining 2 Tbsp. flour into fruit and divide filling between ramekins. Cover evenly with chilled topping. Set ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 30 to 40 min. until filling is bubbling and topping is golden brown. Let cool for 15 min. before serving.
