Coriander seeds have many uses and cooking applications. Use ground coriander in recipes like masalas and marinades, or for seasoning roasted vegetables. Try using coriander powder in baked goods and desserts like cookies and cakes! We also add ground coriander seeds to most of our curry spice blends. As with all our ground spices, we grind coriander weekly in small batches to insure freshness.

Flavor Profile

The taste of coriander is both sweet and a bit citrusy. Coriander's flavor pairs well with allspice, cinnamon, cumin, garlic, and nutmeg.

There are many coriander uses in cooking, with both sweet and savory dishes. Use ground coriander to season vegetables, marinades, masalas, meats, and desserts. Add coriander to pickling brines, compotes, and chutneys.

About The Spice

Coriander is the dried seed or fruit of the Coriandrum sativum plant, which belongs to the parsley family. Coriander seeds are native to Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region. Cilantro is the leaf of this same coriander plant and yet surprisingly, its flavor is vastly different from that of coriander.
