The word "Creole" actually means marriage or mixture of cultures in old Spanish. Just as the Ouachita, Tensas, and Little Rivers converge to form the Black River in Louisiana, many spices from around the world converge to make this Creole mix. Creole seasoning is a mix of Creole cuisine-inspired spices and herbs, like paprika, garlic, onion, pepper, cayenne, thyme and oregano.
