What's the best way to sample spices?
There are many great ways to sample spices effectively, whether you're looking to try out a new blend or taste differences between similar spice blends. We find the best ways to sample a spice are by smelling the aroma of a blend from just a pinch in the palm of your hand, to sprinkling a little bit on your tongue to taste its flavor, or actually cooking with the seasoning sample in something like eggs, rice or potatoes.
How large are the "try-me" spice sample sizes?
The "try-me" sizes of our spices & seasonings contain 2 tablespoons of the blend, single spice or dried herb (weight of each sample packet varies). Depending on taste, two tablespoons of a sample spice is just enough to use as a seasoning when cooking up to 2-4 different recipes.
