Elevate everyday Brussels sprouts with this comforting maple-glazed version, perfect for holiday entertaining and family dinners. Black Garlic Salt provides an umami-rich kick, while walnut oil adds a subtle depth of flavor that's perfect for fall and winter meals. Finish with chopped bacon for an extra festive side dish that is equally impressive in presentation and taste.

Recipe Notes

You can easily adapt this recipe to what you have on hand. Swap the pepper for Four Corners Peppercorns or even Salt & Pepper Tableside seasoning (lowering the amount used). Try using Mediterranean Sea Salt Veggie Shaker instead of Black Garlic Salt for more of a sea-salt-forward flavor.

Ingredients

2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

1/4 cup olive oil

Directions

Cook the Bacon:

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange the bacon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 15 minutes or until crispy. Remove from the oven, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, then chop into pieces. Set aside.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:

While the bacon is cooking, trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

Season and Roast:

Add the olive oil, Black Garlic Salt, and Black Malabar Pepper to the Brussels sprouts, tossing until well-coated. Spread the Brussels sprouts in an even layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden and tender.

Add Maple and Walnut Oil:

Mix together pure maple syrup, walnut oil, and melted butter. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle them with the maple syrup mixture. Toss to coat, then return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and caramelize.

Add Bacon and Serve:

Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and sprinkle the chopped bacon over them. Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and serve warm.
