Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together butter and sugar until creamy. Mix in flavoring ingredients. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in a separate bowl, then stir into flavored butter and sugar mixture until incorporated. Stir in egg until dough is smooth. Form dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. (Alternatively, roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.) Bake for 12 to 15 min. until lightly browned. Mix glaze ingredients together in a small bowl. When cookies are cooled completely, spread with a light layer of glaze, then top with recommended garnish if using. #HolidayCookies
