Crispy, fluffy cornmeal blueberry waffles get a floral lift with lavender buds mixed in the batter. Serve up with maple syrup for a brunch to write home about!

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/4 cups cornmeal

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp. baking powder



1 tsp. baking soda

1 3/4 cups buttermilk

2 eggs

6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

1 cup blueberries

Directions

Step 1: Make batter

Preheat waffle maker. In a medium bowl, add flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, Lavender, Mayan Sea Salt, and baking soda, and whisk to combine. In a separate bowl, add buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter, and whisk to combine. Mix wet mixture into dry mixture and stir until just combined. Add blueberries and mix until evenly distributed. Rest batter for 10 min.

Step 2: Cook waffles

Scoop 1/2 cup of batter into waffle iron, sprinkle surface with Bourbon Barrel Smoked Sugar, and cook 4 to 5 min. until waffles are golden and crispy. Serve with maple syrup.
