Also known as crack pie, this chai-inspired chess pie is super simple to prepare. The warm chai flavors pair beautifully with fresh blueberries. A great pie for tea time...or anytime, really.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with Cardamom Whipped Cream. Store leftovers (if there are any!) in the refrigerator. This pie freezes well, too.

Recipe Notes

*Fresh blueberries are best for this recipe; frozen blueberries yield too much liquid for the pie to set up.

Ingredients

2 pints fresh blueberries*

1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked

6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg, beaten

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse and drain blueberries. Pour blueberries into pie crust. In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and stir in flour, salt, 2X Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract, and Mt. Baker Chai Seasoning. Pour mixture into the pie crust over blueberries. Bake for 1 hour. Check after 30 min.; if crust edges are becoming too dark, cover edges only with foil. Let cool completely before serving. #HolidayPies
